Denton R. "Studley" Craig, 86, of Williamsport Route 1, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 15, 1975) in the Meadow Heights Home. He had been ill two years. Born Aug. 27, 1888, in White County, he was the son of J. D. and Loulla Cook Craig. He had formerly lived in Lafayette, but had been a resident of Warren County the past 28 years. In 1907 he married Nancy Norah, who died Oct. 8, 1968. He had been employed by the Indiana State Highway Department and had formerly had the agency for Marmon car in Lafayette. Mr. Craig attended the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lafayette and the Shrine Club. He was an avid sportsman and golfer. He was the first man to own and fly a single engine plane in Indiana. Survivors include a son, Michael S. of Williamsport, and several nieces and nephews in Lafayette. Services in the Dale Maus Funeral Home in Attica, with the Rev. Vernon Seaton officiating. Burial in Grandview Cemetery in West Lafayette.
